2001 INITA CyberStar Award and Induction into Trailblazers in Technology Hall of Fame
On May 18, 2001, Scott A. Jones was one of three nominees receiving a CyberStar award for “Outstanding Individual Contribution to the Technology Industry” and being inducted into the Indiana Information Technology Association’s Trailblazers in Technology Hall of Fame.
Central Indian Business Hall of Fame
On March 15,2001, Scott A. Jones was inducted into the Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame,sponsored by Junior Achievement. Three awards are presented each year.
The Chauncey Rose Medal
Scott A. Jones received their highest recognition award Dec. 7, 2000, from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, ranked for the third year in a row as the nation’s best college among schools that offer the bachelor’s or master’s as their highest degree in engineering The No. 1 ranking was determined from the results of an annual survey conducted by U.S. News & World Report magazine. One individual is selected for the award each year.
2000 INITA CyberStar Award
On May 19, 2000, Scott A. Jones received the CyberStar award for “Outstanding Individual Contribution to the Technology Industry – Private Sector.”

In its December 27, 1999 – January 2, 2000, issue, the Indianapolis Business Journal recognized Scott A. Jones as one of the top 1999 newsmakers in an article entitled “Keeping up with the Joneses.”

Scott A. Jones and Thomas Doherty, two Escient co-founders, shared the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 1999 Finalist Indiana Heartland award in the Technology/Software/Internet category.

Scott A. Jones received the sole 1999 Enterprise Award for all Indiana from the Indianapolis Business Journal and was featured in its May 24-30, 1999, issue.
