Dinosphere
Named by one of America’s Top Children’s Museum

Dinophere combines today’s latest technologies with a hands-on exploration that brings the prehistoric age to life.

Dinosphere has been designed to provide families with an extraordinary learning experience. A world-class collection of real dinosaur fossils is presented in exciting settings which reflect life in the Cretaceous Period, more than 65 million years ago. A dinosaur dig, a functioning paleontology lab, a question lab with in-depth dinosaur information, and an art gallery featuring pieces from the finest collection of dinosaur art in the nation complete the experience.

An important part of Dinosphere is its emphasis on family learning. Gallery activities, such as computers, touchable casts of fossils and sensory exhibits were designed for parents and children to experience together.

Make sure to look for Bucky the teenage t-rex when visiting the Dinosphere. My three eldest sons and I helped unearth the fearsome carnivore on a 1998 dig in South Dakota. Also be sure to check out the Dinosphere’s website to explore educational games, and download the mobile app I developed that provides an interactive experience when visiting Dinosphere. You’ll find many other technologies I built for Dinosphere when you visit The Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
